Fresh off the success of six sold-out performances of her “Splendid Grace” Chinese orchestra concert, JessC is stepping back into the spotlight—this time with a mission that goes far beyond applause.

Starting May 7, she will headline six performances of the stage play “Moonlight”, a deeply personal production aimed at raising funds for cancer patients across Malaysia.

A Story Rooted in Reality—and Her Own Life

Adapted from real-life experiences, “Moonlight” carries an emotional weight that’s hard to ignore—about 70% of the storyline reflects JessC’s own journey.

Two years ago, she turned down the same role due to its intense demands: a three-hour performance filled with heavy dialogue and emotionally taxing scenes. Now, after smooth rehearsals and renewed confidence, she’s ready to take it on.

The play also features intimate scenes with co-stars Marcus Choot and Tylor Chen. JessC shared that her husband, Joshua, has been fully supportive—even of the on-stage kiss scenes—understanding her dedication to the craft.

Art with a Purpose: RM500,000 for Cancer Aid

This isn’t just a performance—it’s a cause.

After previously organizing ticketed concerts to support cancer treatment funds, JessC now hopes that a combination of 10 orchestral concerts and the “Moonlight” stage play will raise RM500,000. The goal: to provide 100% financial assistance to cancer patients in need.

A Sacrifice Beyond the Stage

JessC had been in Australia participating in cancer radiotherapy research but made the bold decision to take a two-month leave to return to Malaysia for this fundraising effort.

She also postponed her hosting commitments in China, choosing instead to focus on both research and this meaningful artistic mission.

This is more than a comeback—it’s a convergence of art, sacrifice, and purpose.
With “Moonlight”, JessC isn’t just telling a story—she’s helping rewrite the futures of those battling cancer.
