Malaysian singer JessC continues her rising international momentum, achieving remarkable success at the LIT Music Awards, where she swept multiple honors and set a rare record by winning awards with songs in three different languages.

At this year’s LIT Music Awards, JessC received a series of prestigious recognitions. Her Malay track “Mari Menari Raya,” Mandarin song “My Style,” and another Malay release “Expose” all earned Platinum Awards, while her English single “One Chance” won the Gold Award and also secured the title of Best New Artist.

Among these achievements, “Mari Menari Raya” stands out as a major breakthrough. It is one of the few Hari Raya-themed songs to receive international music award recognition, symbolizing how Malaysian festive music is reaching a global audience. The music video has also surpassed 3 million views on YouTube and has been broadcast across radio stations in the United Kingdom, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, and parts of South America, further expanding its international footprint.

In recent years, JessC has actively used Raya-themed music to enter overseas markets. Her earlier release “Satu Suara Raya” was also shortlisted as a finalist in the Asian Pop Music category at the InterContinental Music Awards (ICMA). She herself previously won the Best Asian Pop Music Award at ICMA with “MyStyle,” steadily building her global recognition.

To celebrate this milestone, JessC hosted a combined “Raya Open House × ICMA & LIT Music Awards Celebration Dinner,” attended by more than 300 fans and media representatives. Reflecting on her journey, she shared:

“I never imagined a Hari Raya song could be heard, accepted, and even loved so far away. This shows me that music can truly transcend culture. This is not only my personal achievement, but also a moment where Malaysian culture is heard by the world.”

JessC is currently involved in the cultural stage production Echoes of Artistry, and is also planning to explore new music that blends traditional cultural elements. She added:

“I hope to start from Malaysia and gradually bring our culture to the world.”
