Following the stage adaptation of The Dream of Red Mansions, Malaysian entertainer JessC returns with her theatre troupe in another romantic stage production adapted from a classic love story, Tearless Sky.

The 2.5-hour performance delivers a heartfelt message: “learn to bless, and live without regret.” The production also features emotionally charged scenes, including multiple on-stage kiss scenes between JessC and the male leads. One of the most touching moments comes when she kisses a wealthy young heir on his deathbed, leaving audiences deeply moved.

A Continuation of Charity Theatre Efforts

During the movement control period, JessC has remained active in staging various theatrical productions for audiences and fans. The second show of Tearless Sky, performed last Saturday night, was dedicated to raising funds for cancer patients under the JessC Cancer Fund.

The male leads include:

  • Terry Lim, who previously played Jia Baoyu in The Dream of Red Mansions
  • John Lee, an American-based musician and actor

The production is directed by Jeffrey Beh and Paul Lee, with JessC starring as the female lead.

A Story of Love, Healing, and Emotional Growth

JessC plays Du Xiaomeng, a cheerful and straightforward young woman. Her journey begins when she returns a lost item to its owner, played by John Lee, leading to an unexpected romantic connection.

She later becomes a caregiver for an 18-year-old wealthy heir suffering from a heart condition, played by Terry Lim. Through this relationship, she navigates emotional conflict, love, and compassion.

The story follows Du Xiaomeng’s emotional transformation as she moves through love, contradiction, and personal growth—ultimately arriving at a symbolic “blue sky” of healing and hope.

Audience Response and Curtain Call

After the performance, the entire cast returned to the stage for the curtain call, receiving warm applause and cheers from the audience. JessC expressed her gratitude by waving and bowing enthusiastically to the crowd.

Closing Note

Tearless Sky continues JessC’s ongoing commitment to charity-driven theatre—blending romance, emotional storytelling, and humanitarian purpose into a single stage experience that resonates deeply with audiences.
