Malaysian singer JessC, who released three albums in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English within the first half of the year, has earned international recognition after winning the Best Asian Pop award at the InterContinental Music Awards 2025 (ICMA) with her song “My Style.”

Recognized as one of the significant honors in the international music industry, the ICMA main competition is judged by a global panel of experts from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. JessC’s “My Style” received strong praise for its originality, artistic expression, and cross-cultural impact, with judges highlighting the song’s ability to resonate beyond language and geographical boundaries.

Notably, winners in the ICMA main competition not only receive recognition from internationally respected judges, but may also gain opportunities to step onto larger global platforms, including events connected to the Grammy music scene.

Currently preparing for her year-end concert tour, JessC shared that the Best Asian Pop honor is not merely a personal achievement, but a proud milestone shared by her entire team and supporters. She also believes the recognition allows more people around the world to see the potential of Mandarin music.

“Music is a healing force. It connects hearts and transcends culture and language. To receive this honor and see my work resonate in different Asian countries makes me deeply grateful. This recognition belongs to everyone who supports music.”
