The romantic stage play Meant To Be, presented by Symphony Theatre (SPAC), has successfully concluded its run to widespread acclaim.

Directed and headlined by Taiwanese-American theatre practitioner Paul Lee, alongside Malaysian stars JessC and Jeffrey Beh, the production exceeded expectations from start to finish.


Sold-Out Success and Strong Fan Support

Originally scheduled for six performances, all shows sold out rapidly, prompting the addition of two extra performances—both of which were also filled to capacity.

Fans of JessC traveled from multiple states across Malaysia to support her first stage production following the pandemic, creating a vibrant and emotionally charged atmosphere throughout the run.


A 16-Member Cast and Cinematic Presentation

The production featured a 16-member ensemble cast, including:

Paul Lee also contributed artistically by writing and performing the play’s theme song, further enriching the production’s emotional texture.

Running approximately two hours, Meant To Be delivered a tightly paced narrative filled with emotional twists, surprises, and heartfelt moments. The audience was taken on a journey of laughter, tension, and reflection—often described as an emotional rollercoaster.

JessC’s performance stood at the heart of the production. She portrayed the innocence, joy, and vulnerability of a young woman in love with striking authenticity.
