Malaysian artist JessC has received a double nomination in the “Best Asian Pop” category at the 2025 InterContinental Music Awards with her songs I Am Me and Satu Suara Raya, making her one of the few musicians nominated simultaneously with both Chinese and Malay-language works. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place online on August 24.

A total of 11 songs were shortlisted in the “Best Asian Pop” category. I Am Me is described as a healing anthem about rediscovering one’s true self, while Satu Suara Raya celebrates harmony and unity through the spirit of Malaysia’s Hari Raya festivities.

Speaking about the achievement, JessC said:

“Being nominated with two songs this time is an incredible encouragement for me. It strengthens my determination to continue on the path of healing through music. If my voice can accompany someone through their darkest moments, then that is the true meaning behind why I continue creating music.”

At the same time, JessC’s all-English album Six Feet Deep has also been steadily expanding into the international market. Several tracks from the album have successfully entered radio playlists across Europe and North America, including broadcasts on New York’s Z100, Toronto’s Virgin 99.9, London’s Magic Radio, and Sydney’s KIIS FM.
