Symphony Theatre (SPAC) unveils a bold new production as JessC and Marcus Choot reunite after three years—this time with a relationship far more complex than before.
Following the success of The Music Box, JessC and Marcus Choot return to the stage together in Glow, a new theatre production that pushes emotional and physical boundaries. After a three-year hiatus from collaborating, the pair once again take on leading roles—only this time, their dynamic takes an unexpected turn.
JessC revealed during a press conference that her character undergoes intense scenes, including moments where she is physically struck by Marcus Choot’s character. What surprised many, however, was her candid admission: she “willingly” embraced these scenes and even described the experience as something she accepted wholeheartedly—without complaint. As for the deeper meaning behind these moments, she left it as a mystery for audiences to uncover in the theatre.
A Stage That Heals
JessC shared that she has been involved in theatre since the age of 13. While her early performances were primarily in English, it was Chinese theatre that truly captured her heart.
Beyond performance, her mission has remained clear:
to use theatre as a medium to heal, inspire, and give back.
She reflected on powerful audience feedback over the years—stories of strained marriages rekindled, and individuals battling illness finding renewed strength after watching her plays. These real-life impacts have become her driving force.
Director Jeffrey Beh echoed this sentiment, expressing his hope that Glow will “ignite the light within people’s hearts”—a metaphor for hope, conscience, and emotional awakening.
Four Love Stories, One Stage
Glow weaves together four distinct love stories, all set within the world of an art gallery. In a unique twist, the production extends beyond performance—featuring an exhibition of artwork created by the cast and directors themselves.
These pieces will be displayed during the show and auctioned off for charity, with all proceeds donated to the JessC Cancer Fund.
Star-Studded Cast & Strong Demand
